The Juan José López-Ibor Foundation was created in 2003, with the objective of to fight the stigma of the Mental Illness promoting the investigation, the formation in the field of psychiatry, psychology, and neuroscience and the rest of the medicine and sciences of health in general.
It is a Foundation of an international field made by the Professor Juan José López-Ibor Aliño, one of his first activities was to organize a congress in collaboration with the Mundial organization of Psychiatry to commemorate a century of the birth of his father, Professor López-Ibor, since then he has organized numerous congresses, seminaries, reunions of a science character for professionals of psychiatry and mental health and others of psychoeducation character dedicated to the general public.
In order to develop these activities, he counts on a patronage board of trustees and an advisory board composed of well-known people that has shown interest in the field of mental health and neuroscience.
Also, the Foundation collaborates with institutions such as, the World Psychiatry Association Psychiatry, the Ortega Marañón Foundation, the XXI Century Foundation, the Complutense University and others…
The Juan José López-Ibor Foundation is a part of the Spanish Association of Foundation and member of its group of work in health, investigation and welfare.
