The Juan José López-Ibor Foundation has signed a contract with the Ministry of the Interior (General Secretariat of Penitentiary Institutions) and the Juan José López-Ibor Foundation for the development of counseling, training and study programs for interventions related to mental illness in penitentiary establishments.
The purpose of this agreement is to establish the form of collaboration between the General Secretariat of Penitentiary Institutions and the Foundation for the development of the following Intervention Programs in penitentiary establishments:
- Training program for prison professionals in the field of mental health, through courses, conferences, seminars, or face-to-face stays in psychiatric units.
- Promotion and collaboration program in the development of studies and research in the field of mental health, with special interest in the field of the prosecution of mental illness.
- Consulting program on the management of short, medium, and long-term mental health services.
